Schema Health Assessment
A focused read of naming, constraints, keys, and growth patterns before a release, acquisition, or new hire takes ownership of the database.
Purpose
Use this when you need an outside pair of eyes without committing to a full refactor. Common moments: pre-Series diligence, onboarding a new tech lead, or deciding whether to invest in a rewrite next quarter.
Deliverable
A concise report covering constraint gaps, suspicious nullability, missing or redundant indexes, naming debt, and tables that look likely to outgrow their current design. The briefing walkthrough is optional but recommended for stakeholder alignment.
Boundaries
We do not rewrite production code during an assessment. If the report shows urgent performance issues, we can propose a follow-on Query Performance Review.
