Engagement Process

How Web Maple Core runs database refactoring and query performance consulting — from the first scope call to handoff.

01

Scope call

Thirty to forty-five minutes on video or in our Taipei office. You describe the engine, the pain under load, and any hard deadlines. We say whether the work fits consulting or needs a full-time hire.

02

Artifact exchange

You share a schema dump, anonymized slow-query log, or read-only staging access. We never ask for production passwords on day one. NDA available when legal requires it.

03

Written engagement plan

You receive a short document: goals, out-of-scope items, estimated days, change-window risks, and who on your side must be available for reviews.

04

Hands-on consulting

We review plans, draft migrations, pair on index changes, or run a structured assessment. Progress is shared in weekly notes your team can keep after we leave.

05

Handoff

Final recommendations, rollback notes, and a ranked backlog. Optional follow-up hours can be reserved for the first release after the main engagement.

Materials that speed things up

  • Engine and major version (for example PostgreSQL 15)
  • Approximate table and row counts for the busiest schemas
  • Whether you can share scrubbed slow-query logs
  • Named contacts for application and operations decisions

If your legal team needs paperwork before any dump is shared, say so on the contact form and we will send our standard NDA first.
